Our team consists of film enthusiasts and people who love the art and experience of film making… and are dead broke from putting what little money we have in to equipment. The collective film production and sound engineering experience of the DBM team amounts to decades. We thought “We’ve been working on other people’s projects for years, why not work on our own? We don’t have much money, so lets make every penny count and actually get things done.”

We believe that Hollywood is one of the most wasteful industries in existence. Cameras that cost as much as a car, lens sets that cost as much as homes, moving crews, production assistants, and equipment being transported across the globe for a single shot, exorbitant royalties for producers and investors, all contribute to a culture of extreme spending and waste. The team behind Dead Broke Media is committed to the idea that compelling and quality content can be made with comparatively little to no budget.
